Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists

About Us

About Pulmonary & Sleep SpecialistsWelcome to Advocare Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists! I am Dr. Neil Mushlin and I have been practicing medicine for 10 years. Having been board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine I have now decided to focus specifically on outpatient Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine and joined Advocare in January 2018.

I am excited to be practicing in the Exton and Lansdale areas and look forward to continuing to care for existing patients as well as welcoming the opportunity to work with new patients and providers.

A Holistic Approach

I am a believer in the holistic approach to medicine, especially when it comes to the importance of sleep to our overall health and well-being. The quality and quantity of your sleep can affect all aspects of your health including hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, immune system, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, headaches, energy level and motivation.

Communication Is Key

I believe it is essential for physicians to communicate well with each other to optimize patient care. I work closely with and pride myself on the relationships I build with Primary Care Physicians and other Specialists to help with providing the most effective treatment plan for my patients. I often personally call referring physicians to discuss more complicated cases with them in detail.

Putting Our Patients First

My goal is to provide my patients with the information they need to understand their condition/diagnosis and work with them to identify and explain their treatment options. I encourage my patients to ask questions because I want to ensure that they not only understand their condition, but also the treatment/diagnostic plan. When patients have an understanding of their condition and treatment options they are better able to manage their healthcare.

I have worked hard to put together a warm, friendly compassionate staff. Putting our patients first is our number one priority and together we work to educate, encourage and support our patients.
