Maria Cornacchione is an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) board-certified Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience in the healthcare field. Maria graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University. She spent the next 7 years working as registered nurse in various acute care settings, including medical, surgical, and acute stroke rehabilitation. After developing a strong foundation of clinical experience, she pursued a career as a Nurse Practitioner.
In 2017, Maria obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the George Washington University and graduated with honors from Sigma Theta Tau International. Prior to joining Advocare Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, Maria worked in a pulmonary and sleep medicine practice in Maryland. She treated a variety of pulmonary and sleep medicine conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy and insomnia.
Maria is dedicated to providing patient-centered, thorough, and compassionate care. She highly values taking a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to achieve optimal health outcomes.
In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband and two young children, travel, try new restaurants, and enjoy the outdoors.
